Dave Cowhig worked for a North-West England electricity board (Manweb) for 25 years as meter collector. This book documents this time in a both comical and bitter-sweet fashion. Structured as collection of short stories, the book gives us an insight in to Liverpool over the past three decades and the characters which inhabit this great town.

This semi-autobiographical work is both heart warming and extremly funny. It shows a side of general public which can only witnessed by those whom encounter it everyday. The best thing about this book is that it only serves up the most interesting people who live within it. Fantastic!
